Royce A. Belcher, CPA, CEPA

For more than 35 years, Royce A. Belcher, CPA, CEPA has been a trusted advisor to business owners, healthcare organizations, and families seeking practical financial guidance and long-term planning strategies. As the owner of Royce A. Belcher, CPA, Royce is known for his proactive approach, deep industry expertise, and commitment to delivering straightforward, solutions-driven advice.

Royce began his accounting career in 1988 and acquired the firm in 2003 after serving as Firm Director and Accounting and Tax Manager. Today, he blends extensive tax knowledge with high-level business advisory and exit planning services, helping clients strengthen operations, reduce tax exposure, and increase the transferable value of their businesses.

His specialized experience in healthcare, including physician practices, including primary care, specialty and dental—makes him a sought-after resource for providers navigating complex regulatory and financial landscapes. Royce also advises clients across construction, retail, manufacturing, and other privately held businesses, providing guidance on mergers and acquisitions, business valuation, estate planning, and financial strategy and for high-net-worth individuals.

A Certified Public Accountant and Certified Exit Planning Advisor, Royce is dedicated to helping clients plan not only for today, but for the future. His perspective bridges day-to-day financial management with long-term succession, retirement, and transition planning—empowering business owners at every stage of growth and ultimately planning for their business exit.

Royce is an active member of the accounting profession and his community, having served in leadership roles with organizations such as the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants, Kiwanis, Habitat for Humanity of Wilson County, Empower Me Day Camp, Inc., and Cumberland University’s Business and Advisory Council Board.

Outside the office, Royce enjoys spending time on his family’s Century Farm, traveling, and challenging himself in Spartan races across the country. He and his wife, Renee’, have four grown children, a daughter-in-law, and a granddaughter, Kinsley Jo.

Doris Jessie

Doris graduated from Trevecca Nazarene College in May 1990 with her Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

After graduation she worked for several large corporations, she later decided to enter the public sector.

She began working with Royce at Gwen Selby, CPA in December 1996. Doris is involved in all aspects of accounting for their clients from accounts payable and paying their bills timely, payroll, depositing of payroll taxes timely, to daily reconcilement of their bank accounts and credit card accounts. With extensive knowledge of payroll and its challenges, Doris is a great resource for any of your concerns. She works closely with the other accountants to ensure the clients’ needs are met and with Royce to oversee the training of college students during their internships with the firm.

From the beginning of their work relationship, they wanted clients to feel as if they were like family and they continue to adhere to that philosophy today.

Danny Kasic

Originally from Croatia, Danny has been a Lebanon and Wilson County resident since 1996. Graduating from Cumberland University in 2000 with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, he continued his education at CU and went on to receive a Master's degree in Business. 

Danny has been a team member of Royce A. Belcher, CPA since 2005. His focus includes sales tax, business tax, payroll taxes and other local and state tax requirements. He has extensive experience in various budget and financial reporting and is proficient in Quickbooks accounting software setup and use. 

Danny is a collector of BMW vehicles, enjoys watching sports as well as playing basketball.

CARLENE McBRIDE

Carlene joined the team at Royce A. Belcher CPA in January of 2019.

With her many years of experience working as an Office Manager and Bookkeeper for small, local businesses, Carlene is an asset to our team. Her focus is payroll, payroll tax deposits, accounts payable, daily and monthly reconciliation of client’s bank and credit card accounts along with Worker’s Comp audits. She works closely with clients and our Accountants on numerous projects.

She has lived in the Mount Juliet area but now calls Lebanon home.

Carlene has two grandchildren, Shelby and Oliver, and spends as much time with them as possible. She enjoys movies and dinner with friends.

RENEE’ BELCHER

Renee’ has many job titles at Royce Belcher, CPA. She acts as Office Manager, Staff Support, is the Property Manager for BP Properties and RRB Properties, and works at a Dental Office as a Registered Dental Hygienist when she is not working in our office.

She and Royce have been married since 2011 and they share four grown and wonderful children plus a lovely daughter in law. They welcomed their first granddaughter, Kinsley Jo in January of 2025!!

They enjoy traveling and participating in Spartan races as well as having a Century Farm in Trousdale County that boasts cattle, hay and corn. Renee’ has started leaning to sew and enjoys “trying to make quilts” and embroidery.

DEBORAH FLOWERS

Deborah joined our team in 2024.

With her many years of experience working as an Office Manager and Bookkeeper for small, local businesses, Deborah has been a great addition to our staff. Her focus is payroll, payroll tax deposits, accounts payable, daily and monthly reconciliation of client’s bank and credit card accounts . She works closely with clients and our Accountants on multiple projects.

In her downtime, Deborah is a member in a local band where she shares her musical talent. She also enjoys sunny days by the pool.

Bobbye Brawner

Bobbye has worked in the customer service industry for many years. She is one of the first voices you will hear when calling our office as well as the first smiling face you will see when visiting.

She and her husband, Wendel, own a cattle farm in Lafayette. Bobbye also raises a beautiful garden and shares the fruits of her labor with us.


Haylee Jo Hodges Wall

Haylee joined our team as an Administrative Assistant in 2025 and has quickly proven to be an asset. She is one of the first people to greet our clients both on the phone and in person.

Haylee worked in the Banking Industry for 7 years and served as a Bookkeeper for their family businesses.

She is married to Ryan and they share two children, Raelynn and AJ. In her downtime, Haylee enjoys working on the farm, gardening, supporting her children at cattle shows, and cheering on the Tennessee Vols on Saturdays. Go Vols!!
